The Haynes International Motor Museum is an
Educational Charitable Trust which displays one of Europe’s premier
international motor vehicle collections and receives over 100,000 visitors per
year generating entry ticket and catalogue sales in excess of £650,000 PA.
In common with most charities the museum owns
and operates a commercial arm, known as Haynes International Motor Museum
Limited. The commercial activities are
split into three departments; Hospitality Services (which includes
Conferencing, Hospitality and the “Café 750”), Haynes Garage Services and
Retail. Between them they have a
turnover in excess of £1M PA with profits being gifted to the Charity.
The Trustees are ambitious to see further
growth and improvement and have secured the funding to invest in further
development at the museum. This unique motor
museum is therefore seeking an entrepreneurial and dynamic leader to build on
its recent capital development in order to take the Charitable Trust forward
into the next phase of its evolution.
will need proven experience and expertise in the museum / heritage sector,
together with strong business planning and people management skills to provide
leadership and strategic direction for the organisation. A successful track record of working with
businesses and corporate stakeholders and fund raising from public and private
sources is essential as is a flexible and enthusiastic approach.
