On 16 April 2014 Guest of Honour, the Hon Ed Vaizey MP, Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, will officially open the new Haynes International Motor Museum, in Sparkford, Somerset showcasing some of the greatest cars from around the world. read more »

Staff raise funds for MacMillan

Staff at the Museum joined in the World’s biggest coffee morning on Friday 27th of September in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Staff decided to support this worthwhile cause and to hold their own coffee morning hosted at the museum. read more »

Museum on TV

Museums are ideal for Television companies to inspire subject matter for shows. Staff are always keen to help out with any requests for filming, where the Museum is going to be show-cased. Recently, the Museum has been happy to help with three completely different television programmes. read more »

Engine Rooms open for business

Part of the Museum re-development program involved the creation of two new function rooms. The new Meadows Suite adjoins the Museum’s existing Merlin Suite, expanding on the engine theme for naming the rooms. Each room being the name of a classic engine which powered many iconic pre-war vehicles, and of course, in the case of Merlin, a WWII Spitfire. read more »

The iconic Mini, known and loved by all is shortly to become part of an amazing new ‘Paint a car’ attraction. This will be located within a new hall soon to be opened as part of the Museum redevelopment program currently underway. read more »

Motorcycle Mezzanine opens to public

The‘Haynes Motorcycle Mezzanine’opened to the public at the end of May. This new display is the latest phase in the major £5m museum redevelopment program currently underway and due for completion by Easter 2014. The exhibition was created from the amalgamation of the Forshaw Collection and the British Motorcycle Collection which were formerly located in two different areas of the Museum. read more »
