New arrival - by Royal Appointment

The latest car to join the Museum collection, albeit on a temporary basis for approximately six months, is a stunning 1935 Mercedes Cabriolet. The car can be found in the Museum foyer and is already drawing the crowds. read more »

Lord Montagu - very sad news

The chairman, trustees, staff and volunteers of Haynes International Motor Museum wish to express their great sadness at the announcement of the death of Lord Montagu. They wish to extend their deepest sympathies to Lord Montagu’s family and friends as well as all the staff at The National Motor Museum and Palace House. Lord Montagu was a true pioneer in the development of motor museums as well as a leading authority on veteran and vintage cars. read more »

Haynes International Motor Museum Voted Best South West for Toursim & Leisure

Following the well-publicised £6m refurbishment and extension project which opened in April 2014 this year, the Haynes International Motor Museum is again celebrating award success. Readers may recall that in November 2014 the museum was the proud recipient of the prestigious International Historic Motoring Award for “Museum or Collection of the Year”. On Thursday 21st May the museum was again in the spotlight, this time at the RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) South West Awards, held at the Marriot Hotel, Bristol City Centre. read more »

Conference and Hospitality Open Day

Somerset Bike Weekend

Time to celebrate success

Following the Museum’s £6m refurbishment and extension project there were celebrations when the Museum received global recognition at the prestigious International Historic Motoring Awards, held on Thursday 20th November, at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London. read more »

Increased business means changes in staff

Museum on TV

The latest television programme to use the Museum in its filming schedule was ‘ Taste of Britian’ presented by Brian Turner and Janet Street-Porter which was screened on BBC2 on Friday 31st October. read more »
