Further expansion at Haynes International Motor Museum

22nd May 2019

Curatorship sits at the heart of every museum. Haynes International Motor Museum is currently strengthening their Collections team and are looking to fill a one-of-a-kind role, that of Curator.

The Museum was founded in 1985 by the creator of the famous Haynes Manuals, John Harold Haynes OBE, who passed away earlier this year. Today, the Museum houses the largest vehicle collection in the UK and is of significant global importance. Within the numerous exhibitions you will find cars and motorcycles not only from around the world, but also from the dawn of motoring to the present day.

2020 promises to be the start of the next exciting chapter in the Museum’s history with significant exhibitions planned, infrastructure development and a growing team. The role of Curator is a hugely important one and central to much of the Museum’s core work, so it will come as no surprise that they are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and motivated museum professional to be their subject specialist; someone with a passion for motoring, technology and social history.

“The successful candidate will be joining an energetic and ambitious team at the start of an exciting journey towards Museum Accreditation, developing the Collection and sharing what makes our museum world class.”

Laura Gangadeen, Collections Director.
