Haynes Breakfast Club update

2nd Sep 2021

After significant investment in expanding our year-round parking facilities and as we hopefully transition back from pandemic restrictions, we are pleased to share an operational update with you.

Why these events remain pre-book only

  • Each month the event is oversubscribed and therefore we need to control vehicle numbers
  • Road safety: The previous format for the event resulted in unsafe queuing of vehicles on the main road
  • Prebooking enables us to manage staffing, operational support and catering requirements

Why we charge £5 ticket per vehicle

  • The Museum has made a major investment in a new year-round car parking facility as well as a dedicated display area
  • We need to cover our staffing and operational costs
  • It enables us to raise funds to contribute to our charitable objectives

What do we do as a charity?

  • Our core charitable objectives are the preservation and conservation of the Museum Collection for future generations to enjoy and learn from
  • Education: Did you know we offer educational visits, programmes and outreach to schools and colleges for children as young as five to post age sixteen students
  • We are invested in supporting heritage engineering through apprenticeships and youth employment to ensure that these very specialist skills are not lost

Future developments

We want to continue to improve these events for you and your friends and family to enjoy. Future developments coming soon include

  • Automotive and local traders’ stalls
  • The Paddock: A dedicated display area highlighting special marques and eras

We look forward to you joining us on this journey and we encourage you to contact us with your thoughts and ideas to improve the events. You can contact the team via hbc@himm.co.uk or on 01963 442785
