When Haynes International Motor Museum opened in the 1980’s, the onsite Workshop began life focussing on the vast Collection of classic vehicles in the Museum.
Since then the Workshop and Restoration Centre has grown from strength to strength. Their strong and experienced team of twelve continues their work maintaining the Museum’s Collection, but also has a strong customer base, restoring classic, vintage, veteran and modern cars for both Somerset and international clients.
A new paint shop and an exciting opportunity
The Workshop team are able to cover a wide range of services for classic and modern cars, from covering all mechanical aspects to full body fabrication and engine building. Now the team are planning to offer a further service on site, with their in-house paint shop.
“Having our own Paint Shop on site gives the team more control over a very significant area of Restoration. It will keep us on track regarding restoration timelines and will give us the ability to be more competitive on price”– Bradley Mauger, Workshop and Restoration Manager
This is an exciting time for the Workshop and Restoration team, as they are now looking for the right candidate to become their Paint Shop Technician, and have input in the design of the workshop area.
