Minis & Micros

In motoring’s timeline a desire for small, economical cars is nothing new.  For example, just look at Fiat’s 500 ‘Topolino’ (mouse) which was introduced in 1936.

We have gathered together some of our collection’s smallest vehicles representing output from Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Japan, India and (former) East Germany.

Naturally there are the quirky European ‘bubble’ cars which stole a march on the British motor industry in the 1950s.  When Britain caught up it gave the world the classic Mini which, literally, took the concept of the small car into another dimension altogether.
