1941 Chevrolet Custom Pick-up Truck

In 1941 Chevrolet Pick-up production reached one million, aided by substantial redesign of the range.  All models now featured ‘knee action’ independent front suspension, dispensing with the earlier solid front axle.

The engine was a 90bhp six cylinder, but this customised example is fitted with a Chevrolet V8 unit and automatic transmission rather than the more usual stick shift.

Production of this vehicle for the civilian market ceased during February 1942, when the USA entered World War Two and the motor industry changed over to the manufacture of military vehicles.
