Bought in 1994 by Jersey artist Steph Newington, this Morris Minor was stripped right down to its individual components. These were then sandblasted and treated with rust preventive material.
Using the van as a blank canvas, Steph airbrushed every part individually including each nut, bolt and washer after which it was rebuilt extremely carefully in order to avoid any damage to the new paintwork.
As an added attraction the seats and interior have been button-upholstered using cream and purple leather produced by Connolly (suppliers to Rolls Royce and Jaguar).
An oval, hinged Perspex floor in the rear enables even more detail to be seen.
