1982 Aston Martin Lagonda

Designed by William Towns “for the year 2000” this ‘Lagonda’ was a no-expense-spared, four door sports saloon that weighed in at more than two tons and, at almost eighteen feet long, is almost as long as a Cadillac.

The long flat bonnet conceals the tried and tested Aston Martin V8 which, at 320bhp, is  powerful enough to carry four people and their luggage from 0 – 60mph in just 7 seconds and deliver a top speed of 145mph on the autobahn.

In common with many hand-built motor cars it is rare to see one in action on the road today.
